The perfect holiday cottage

We love The Roundhouse so much - this was our 4th stay! The house is perfect and the location is stunning. There is loads to do in the area - walking in the local hills and combes; fossil hunting on Kilve beach; exploring Dunster castle; horse trekking (we thoroughly recommend Quantock Trekking in West Bagborough); exploring Exmoor. We will be back!

Had the most amazing time at this beautiful cottage. Had such a warm welcome from the owners with scones, cream, jam, milk and wine on arrival. So cosy yet deceptively spacious with everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. The surrounding area is beautiful, the local pub very welcoming with great food and The Hood, 2 miles up the road in Kilve, a fabulous pub serving rhe best Sunday roast. Have stayed in many holiday cottages and The Round House is definitely our favourite now. We hope to return soon.

The moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen a very special place to stay for our mini break. The surroundings are magical and the location was superb for walks immediately on your doorstep. No need to take the car as we took picnics in our backpacks and off for the day exploring the most varied of scenery during our walk. From the magical woods and streams, to climbing up to the moors and heathland overlooking the rolling countryside. Then through deer forests and through beautiful villages and farm land to the sea. If you are keen walkers, if you haven't been here before, then you are in for a real treat! No wonder the great poets were inspired by this pretty part of Somerset! Thank you Kate for the scrummy welcome pack and wine. We will return asap to explore more of the area. Kind Regards and thanks. Sandy and David Potter

fantastic hideaway

We had a lovely time over the easter weekend staying at the Round House. Even though we had pretty rainy weather, we had a lovely peaceful break and enjoyed walks in the woods. Also enjoyed exploring the many things to see and do nearby including the West Somerset Railway and a trip to Lynmouth, driving over stunning moorland and coast.

Fairytale setting

Perfect cottage on the edge of woods, with the sound of running water, walks from the door, peace, calm and beauty. With every facility provided, and roasting ourselves by the woodburner each evening, we didn't want to leave, nor did our dogs.
